Meet Gestational Carrier L
Gestational Carrier L., a two-time surrogate whose incredible journeys have woven unforgettable stories of love and connection. Surrogate is just one title she wears proudly but she’s a mom, a confidante, and a pillar of support for her intended parents, and a wife. Surrogacy has created bonds that last will lifetime.
1. Share your surrogacy journey! The ins and outs of the process!
I’ve been a carrier with Gift of Life Surrogacy two times. There are many steps in the process, but Gift of Life Surrogacy is there to help in anyway they can. Both journeys I’ve had a great relationship with the intended parents. During both journeys the intended parents were able to come to appointments and ultrasounds. I share updates, recorded heartbeats, babies movements, and bump pictures as much as I can. Both journeys the intended parents have shown me nothing but love and support.
2. Who inspired you to become a surrogate?
My parents are my biggest inspiration as to why I choose to be a surrogate. They always wanted three kids. They experienced a loss of pregnancy but were able to have two children. My mother’s doctor advised her that she shouldn’t get pregnant again due to pregnancy complications. Little did they know years later they would adopt me when I was just under a year old. The love they showed me growing up is why I chose to become a surrogate and help other families feel complete.
3. What is something that you did not expect during your surrogacy journey?
Something I didn’t expect to be part of the surrogacy process was the life long friendships that I would gain. I love seeing updates of the surro babies. And I’m beyond lucky to get to be a part of their lives.
4. What unexpected surprises or memorable moments have made your journey especially meaningful?
What has made both journeys the most special is seeing the intended parents became parents. Seeing them hold their baby for the first time is like nothing else I’ve ever experienced.
5. If you could share one piece of advice or encouragement with someone considering becoming a surrogate, what would it be?
My biggest piece of advice I could give to someone considering being a surrogate is trust yourself. It can be an overwhelming process but when it feels right trust your gut.
